The Kansas Society of Professional Engineers and Missouri Society of Professional Engineers are teaming up to launch the Government Engineers Leadership Program (GELP) in 2026. This program, exclusively offered to MSPE/KSPE members working in the government sector, is for individuals committed to developing their leadership abilities.
This program imparts specific skills and competencies utilizing highly interactive sessions taught by experts in the field of engineering, business administration, government affairs and people management in government and professional services firms. Program attendees will participate in structured professional development sessions, build their network through meaningful connections, and gain hands-on experience with guidance from industry mentors.

Applications must be uploaded upon initial registration online. Because a number of interested applicants are waiting for their internal leadership approval, applications will continue to be accepted.
Are you all ready for March Madness?
KSPE Eastern invites you to our March happy hour where members can enjoy basketball and networking.
We will meet at Coach's Bar and Grill (135th st. location).

Hope to see you all at Coach's.
The KSPE Eastern Chapter and MSPE Western Chapter invite you to participate in an interactive lunch-and-learn focused on building strong business relationships at after-hours and professional networking events.
Many engineers attend networking events but struggle with how to start conversations, maintain meaningful dialogue, and follow up in a way that leads to lasting professional connections. This session will focus on practical soft skills that help you confidently navigate social settings, make authentic connections, and represent yourself and your firm effectively.
Our speaker, Dennis Burns, President of Pulse Design Group, will share insights drawn from his experience working with professionals on communication, branding, and relationship-building. Attendees can expect a mix of presentation, discussion, and real-world examples that can be applied immediately at conferences, society events, and client functions.
This session is ideal for professionals at all career stages who want to strengthen their networking confidence and get more value out of industry events.
When: April 8th, 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM
Location: Manny’s Mexican Restaurant 207 Southwest Blvd Kansas City, MO 64108
