Title: Asset Management Inventory using Artificial Intelligence (AI)

Brief Description:

Creating and updating asset management, especially pavement markings, typically utilizes a labor-intensive process that is inefficient and can lead to poor results. TranSystems, combined with iENGINEERING Corporation, utilized Artificial Intelligence (AI) to deliver a pavement marking inventory to KDOT, including lineal lengths of pavement markings, symbols, and quantities for 32 miles of highway and interchanges in southeastern Kansas. The AI technology automates and accelerates data processing activities for both TranSystems and our clients to create comprehensive and accurate asset inventories. The technology is capable of automatically detecting and classifying traffic signs, pavement markings, other point assets (such as light posts, utility poles, fire hydrants, etc.), line assets (such as guardrails, medians, barriers, etc.), and many more asset types.
